Saka Dawa Celebration
On June 14, 2022, the Tibetan festival of Saka Dawa is celebrated. On this day, the birth, enlightenment and parinirvana (passing away) of Buddha Shakyamuni are commemorated. Also at the Maitreya Institute we will celebrate this auspicious day with several activities.
From Amsterdam, we offer below-mentioned activities. You're invited to join us in celebrating and being inspired!
16.00 - 17.30 hrs.: Medicine Buddha Puja with Greg Suffanti. Only online.
18.00 - 19.30 hrs: Reciting the text 'Chanting the Names of Manjushri' and Buddha Sakyamuni Puja with Ven. Losang Gendun. Online and onsite. For this activity we invite everyone who comes to the center to bring some finger food (e.g. sandwiches) as an offering, which we can then eat together in the break before the BP class starts.
