City Weekend: From Ground to Goal - Ven. Amy Miller
A Meditative Journey Through the Lamrim
With Ven. Amy Miller
The Buddhist path unfolds step by step—and the Lamrim, the “Stages of the Path,” offers a complete roadmap for awakening that is as relevant today as it was centuries ago. This weekend retreat brings these timeless teachings to life through accessible explanations, guided meditations, and practical application.
Together, we’ll explore key stages of the Lamrim—from cultivating a meaningful motivation and understanding our precious human life, to developing renunciation, compassion, and the wisdom that sees the nature of reality. Each session will weave teaching with experiential practice, offering participants a direct encounter with the clarity, purpose, and inner freedom these steps are designed to awaken.
Rather than presenting Lamrim as a list of topics, this retreat reveals it as a living path—a dynamic progression that transforms how we think, act, and relate to others. With grounded guidance and space for personal reflection, practitioners will learn how to integrate these stages into meditation and daily life, creating a stable foundation for ongoing spiritual growth.
Ideal for students seeking a clear structure for their practice or wishing to reconnect with the heart of the Buddhist path, this weekend offers a fresh, engaging, and transformative approach to the Lamrim. Open to all levels, but some background in Buddhism helpful.

Donation
Dāna (generosity) is one of the cornerstones of the Buddhist path. By virtue of their generosity, the Buddha and the ordained sangha offer us the teachings, and in exchange, the lay community supports Dharma centers and the monastic community. This interdependence is essential for us to share the Dharma and continue our work to benefit all sentient beings. With your donation we support our teachers in their cost of living and we uphold our dharma center, which is managed entirely by volunteers.
The suggested donation for this weekend is €85. For students and people with low income, the suggested donation is €60. Please send us an email if you'd like to make use of this option. Keep in mind that the donation amount should never be an obstacle to your access to the Dharma. Please contact us if it might be an obstacle for you.
