Theme Day Cultivating Resilience
Calm Mind and Open Heart
With Ven. Amy Miller
Buddhist teachings offer practical methods for developing resilience in the face of life’s difficulties. By learning to calm the mind and open the heart, we can meet challenges with greater wisdom, patience, and compassion.
This course explores timeless practices that strengthen inner stability while nurturing the good heart—the foundation for a meaningful and compassionate life. Practical exercises in lojong (mind training), along with guidance on cultivating bodhicitta and deepening our understanding of emptiness, will be included.
Through meditation, reflection, and discussion, participants will learn practical methods for calming the mind, strengthening resilience, and opening the heart to ourselves and others. Open to all levels, but some background in Buddhism helpful.

Donation
Dāna (generosity) is one of the cornerstones of the Buddhist path. By virtue of their generosity, the Buddha and the ordained sangha offer us the teachings, and in exchange, the lay community supports Dharma centers and the monastic community. This interdependence is essential for us to share the Dharma and continue our work to benefit all sentient beings. With your donation we support our teachers in their cost of living and we uphold our dharma center, which is managed entirely by volunteers.
The suggested donation for this day of teaching & meditation is €35. For students and people with low income, the suggested donation is €25. Please send us an email if you'd like to make use of this option. Keep in mind that the donation amount should never be an obstacle to your access to the Dharma. Please contact us if it might be an obstacle for you.
