The Bodhisattva Vows: Making Bodhicitta work - Ven. Amy Miller
The Bodhisattva Vows: Making Bodhicitta work in daily life
The bodhisattva vows are a formal commitment to free others from suffering and bring them to enlightenment. While it might seem easy to wish all beings could be happy, free from suffering, and find enlightenment, it’s another thing to formally make a commitment to work towards that goal.
At these bi-weekly evenings, Ven. Amy will give a traditional and contemporary commentary on the Bodhisattva Vows. She will explain how we can work with them in our daily practice both on our cushion and in our daily lives. Through teachings and discussion we will explore these vows as powerful tools for transformation and developing bodhicitta as the basis of the Path of the Bodhisattva. These evenings will offer a platform to explore the vows together, for those who have already taken the vows before, as well as for those who consider taking them. Venerable Amy is a highly respected teacher and practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism, who is known for her wisdom, compassion, and dedication to helping others.
Dates: Tuesday evenings, every two weeks, Sept 26, Oct 10, Oct 24, Nov 7, Nov 21, Dec 5.
Times: 19.00 – 21.00 hrs CEST.
