Geshe Yeshe Rinchen
Geshe Yeshe Rinchen was born in Tibet on May 7, 1968, and attended school between the ages of 6 and 10. However, he had to start working in the fields to help his parents afterwards. At the age of 16, he joined a local monastery and became ordained as a monk. There, he learned to read Buddhist texts, memorized some sadhanas, and studied some texts on logic and reasoning.
He fled Tibet in 1990 and traveled to Sera monastery in South India to continue his studies. He obtained the Lharampa degree there in 2010. In 2011 and 2012, he spent a year at Gyume (lower tantric college).
Since 2013, Geshela has been residing at Nalanda monastery in France where he teaches; but not only there, he also regularly gives teachings in places like Barcelona, Paris, and in the Netherlands.
